‘I was listening to “Days On The Moors” at the weekend and again this evening – thanks for sending it! My favourite sections are the bundles of melody round about 4 minutes, as you say the harp after 16, but above all the chord-based progressions from 20m onwards (this, for me, is the best moment of all.)\u00a0I think you also use the drum sparingly and well – and I like that sudden solo impetus round about 12m that sits very well after the chord harmonies just before.”<\/h5>\nPeter Clarke<\/strong>, a genuine musician who knows about chords, and keys and shit like that.<\/h5>\n <\/p>\n

I thought\u00a0it\u2019s time I did some more music, I\u2019ve had some ideas floating about in my head, inevitabley\u00a0they relate to my time back in Blighty in 2015. I\u2019ve also got a rough theme, but, like my poetry, you probably won\u2019t identify\/understand\/give a toss about it.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve decided to work differently this time. For a start, each track will be completed in its entirety before the next track is started. Bit and bobs which occur to me during the making process will be saved in a separate folder for future use.<\/p>\n
This will stop me doing what I normally do, and getting a bunch of disparate tracks half done, then rushing the bloody lot just to get them out of my head. There\u2019s only so many times even I can listen to my own \u00a0music, before reaching for an axe. (Again.)<\/p>\n
Also, this time I\u2019m going to not bother about trying to stick to \u201cacoustic\u201d or synthetic instruments for each track, if it sounds good (to me) it\u2019s going in.<\/p>\n
This\u00a0music will appeal to only me, that\u2019s why I do it. I have a reserve of music recorded that fits my taste and moods perfectly. Admit it, you\u2019re jealous that you only have other people\u2019s music to fill yours. (Unless you\u2019re one of my musician mates, you know who you are, and can make your own.)<\/p>\n
