Hi everyone,<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

Just a few lines from me to let you know I’m still alive. Mind you by the amount of mail I get from you gits I may as well not be! Please pass this on to anyone who knows us?<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

Well here I am at the end of my third week, still toddling along in my own way, and still as happy as Larry. (Whoever he is?) We’ve had a fun time over the last few weeks, visited some lovely places.<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

On Friday night we went to a great pub the "Wig & Pen" a microbrewery in Canberra’s legal district. Great beer, but the atmosphere was marred for us by a group of young "Legal" types sat next to us. A prime bunch of wankers if ever there was one! Go here to see more…<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

Last Saturday we visited a massive native bird aviary in Canberra. It was the size of a footy pitch, and covered with very high netting, so all the birds flew freely.<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

On entering we were mobbed for the bits of apple they gave each person at the door. The most forward of the birds were the rainbow lorikeets, which happily sat on your arm, and eat. Unfortunately they ain’t the best tempered of birds, and both Bethy and me got bit. Bethy also had the extra indignity of getting bird shit down her back.<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

On the Sunday we collected Bethy’s mate Allene, and headed off for some fun. We were hoping to go to Corin Forest, the nearest place to Canberra that you can toboggan in the snow. Unfortunately we weren’t allowed to get there as there was…<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

….snow on the road???<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

Someone fucked up big time in the transport dept!<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

Anyway, we LeeAnne went to Tidbinbilla Nature reserve, and had a barbie in the woods instead. Great fun was had by all, and the food was several interesting variations on charcoal. The park is amazing, with huge enclosures many many kilometres in length. We did a short walk with the girls to see some red Roo’s, and boy, are they big bastards!<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

We also saw several emus and a massive crane type bird. The most impressive bird seen that day though was a humble wren, the "Norwegian Blue." Beautiful plumage! (Ok, I made that name up! But they were blue)<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

The last week I’ve been doing some DIY about the place. Don’t worry it’s still standing! On Friday night we had LeeAnne old mate Albert over for a meal, and a very nice chap he is too. I’ve also put in for a couple of jobs, and hope to be gainfully employed soon. Both The LeeAnne and me have had a bug this weekend, nothing serious, but one of those that saps you. We did however get to go out to Fishwyk yesterday for a reason. The trip was so traumatic for me I wrote it up for the discussion forum we use.<\/big><\/font><\/p>\n

Ok, some kind-hearted friend of the LeeAnne's who obviously knows her well, gave us a voucher for a wedding present.<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

A voucher for a sex shop.<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

Now sex shops are legal round here, as are brothels I was pleased, and surprised, to find out.* So today, being a weekend when Hatch is at her Dad's place, we decided to go and spend it. What an ordeal for a poor boy from Wales.<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

Ok it's bad enough when you go in to be confronted by a pretty young girl at the counter, who says with a smile; "if you need any help just ask!" And you find then that the place isn't empty, but full of couples, some of whom look like your Mum and Dad. Then you come across an item for sale that I can only describe as a series of rubber coated cricket balls on a length of rope, and the accompanying picture makes no doubt about where it was to be inserted. I mean, I thought I was broad-minded, and I knew it was supposed to be pleasurable, but these were fucking huge**. And some guy starts smiling at you, and nodding at your wife, while you are in the fetish section…..<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

But then the LeeAnne starts pointing out things.<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

And handing me things.<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

And asking questions like; "Do you think this is too big\/flavoured\/rubbery\/noisy?<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

Then holding up videos of sex acts that would make Ron Jeremy blush, saying "This one looks interesting!"<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

I mean, I'm a man for fuck sake, we boast about these things, but we don't actually indulge.<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

**They were for men, not women! I mean to say, I've been known to drop a big one after a curry, but jesus christ on a pogo stick, you'd need an arse like a wizards sleeve to accommodate those!!!!<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

Today we went to "The Old Bus Depot Markets" in Canberra. An amazing place full of local crafts, international food, and local products. Luckily The LeeAnne held on tightly to her purse, as I’d have bought every bloody thing there!<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n

Ah well, that’s enough from me for now, The LeeAnne has gone off to get Bethy from her dad, and the next fortnight is school holidays. Christ on a bike, I’m going to be alone with a seven year old for two weeks!! Any suggestions as to keeping her happy please mail soon!<\/big><\/font><\/big><\/p>\n
