\nAim for distant cars, vaguely, usually mine.
\nNo rush, no hurry, no need.
\nA last effort, no burden.<\/p>\n
Let this time remain.<\/p>\n
This was always the best part for me.
\nAn unspoken sense of “well done”.

\nApproval without appraisal.
\nThough we cursed and fought, it was all in jest.
\nLeaving no weakness, no untruth, no truth,
\nno unburdening, unused or important.
\nBut always laughing,
\nalways laughter.

The walk off, give it it’s name.

\nRocks, sheep, rabbit, rough ground.

\nStill, downhill, away from the rocks,
\nand into a soft place.
\nTowards pubs and bars.
\nTo a lesser celebration,
\nof the erewhile celebrated day.<\/p>\n
Let this time, now,\u00a0 be famed.<\/p>\n
The slow winding down, entropy.
\nAdrenalin burns off, leaving warmth and a glow.
\nCut and bruise start to ache, skin is missed.
\nFingers sore, forearms solid.
\nRolling fags, sharing lights.
\nShambling, stumbling out of light,
\nsetting\u00a0 sun in our eyes.
\nShadows follow, ours lengthen.<\/p>\n
